Having set up Black Swan Group with Richard Aldridge we’ve taken on many roles over the years. Currently my focus is the Global growth and continued development of the London office. We’ve opened in Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney and now New York is on the cards next.
I have recruited into the Corporate Governance space directly since 2005 and have focussed mainly on compliance and risk. While still active at the senior end of the market, running regional and global head of roles, I am now more focussed on the strategy and day-to-day running operations of the firm. Since inception we’ve seen continual growth and development, a continual rise in fees globally and the number of countries in which we’ve placed just continues to grow and grow. We are now active in Europe and will continue to expand across the region having placed heads of compliance and senior governance professionals in Dublin, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris and Munich and we have more live mandates in this space now than ever before.
Many years ago now, I graduated from the University of Southampton where I studied Geography. I began my leadership career by running the Students Union, taking charge of a multimillion pound budget, the welfare of 23000 students and the management of a 200 strong staff base. I am furthering it currently by taking on a board director role with a football club and chairing the committee of a every growing cricket club.
Outside of work, I am a keen sportsman myself and when I’m not playing cricket in the Kent Leagues, I’m desperately trying to reduce my golfing handicap
