Stop the Stigma Around Men’s Mental Health

There has long been a stigma around men and mental health, below is an infographic exploring the issues men face and why we should stop the stigma towards men’s mental health.  This has all been produced by Addiction Advocates who have encourged sharing on our platform thorugh Seth Bolton.

The most common issues men are experiencing is depression, anxiety, PTSD and substance abuse disorders, affecting men the same as women. The infographic explores how many men are affected by these issues and the knock on the effect it has on suicide rates and substance abuse.

The infographic also explores the issue of toxic masculinity which has long been cited as the reason many men believe they are not allowed to talk about their feelings. But men should seek professional help and manage their mental health, especially during the pandemic, when everyone is struggling to find a balance.
